Our GPs are highly skilled doctors who support patients throughout their lives. They help you to manage your health and prevent illness and are trained in all aspects of general medicine. This includes child health, mental health, adult medicine, the diagnosis and management of acute medical and surgical problems and the management of longterm health conditions such as diabetes and asthma, ophthalmology (eyes), ENT (ear, nose and throat) and dermatology (skin). We also do practical procedures such as minor surgery.

GPs at 24DOC act as a patient’s advocate, supporting and representing their patient’s best interests to ensure they receive the best and most appropriate health and/or social care.

What to Expect

    Our GPs take the time to listen to your health concerns, medical history, and lifestyle factors. This personalised approach allows us to understand your unique health needs and tailor our recommendations accordingly.

  • Comprehensive Assessment

    During the consultation, which typically lasts around 10-20 minutes, our GPs will conduct a thorough examination, ask relevant questions, and may order diagnostic tests if necessary. This comprehensive approach ensures that we address all aspects of your health and well-being.

  • Treatment and Management

    Based on the assessment, our GPs will provide a diagnosis and work with you to develop a customised treatment plan. This may include medication prescriptions, lifestyle recommendations, or referrals to specialists for further evaluation.

  • Preventive Health Guidance

    In addition to addressing existing health issues, our GPs are dedicated to promoting preventive care. They will offer guidance on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, preventive screenings, and vaccinations to keep you on the path to optimal health.

Medical Prescriptions

At 24DOC, our dedicated team of healthcare professionals is committed to providing comprehensive and personalised care for our patients. After your initial general medical consultation with one of our experienced GPs, there might be instances where prescription medications are deemed necessary for your well-being.

Please note that

  • a prescription can only obtained after an initial consultation with one of our GPs.

  • the prescription is included in your consultation fee.

  • we do not dispense any opioids or benzodiazepines.

Sick Notes & Medical Certificates

To obtain a Work Fitness Certificate, you need to undergo a general consultation. During this session, the doctor will evaluate your overall health to determine your fitness for work.

Please be aware that there is an additional charge of €20 for extensions of sick certs.

What is Repeat Medical Consultation?

Repeat consultations are appointments booked within 7 days of a prior visit to the doctor. They exclusively address and follow up on health concerns previously discussed during your last visit. Repeat consultations are billed at a rate reflective of a follow-up appointment - €35.

How Does it Work?

If you've recently visited us for a specific medical concern and find yourself needing further assistance or follow-up within a week for the same issue, our Repeat Medical Consultation service is here to streamline the process for you. Simply contact our reception or book your appointment online, indicating that it's a repeat consultation for the previous issue only.
