Why Get Vaccinated?
Getting vaccinated is an important step in protecting yourself and others from infectious diseases. Vaccines work by stimulating the immune system to produce antibodies that can recognise and fight off specific viruses or bacteria. Here are some reasons why you should consider getting vaccinated:
Protection is paramount; vaccines are one of the most effective ways to shield yourself from infectious diseases, preventing serious illnesses, hospitalisations, and even death. Additionally, when a large percentage of the population is vaccinated, it fosters herd immunity, safeguarding those who cannot receive vaccines, such as infants, elderly people, and individuals with weakened immune systems. This collective responsibility helps reduce the spread of diseases within communities. Moreover, vaccines undergo rigorous testing for safety and efficacy, ensuring they are safe and effective for use
